Our Balboa Park tour is approximately 3 hours (including safety instructions and hands on training) and covers roughly 9 miles round trip. Your rolling expedition begins at our headquarters on Harbor Drive. After watching  a brief training video, mount your wheeled steed and perfect the Segway basics. Once you're an accomplished rider, our fantastic tour guides will regale you with stories and facts of San Diego's past as you traverse the city on your way to the park. 

 

As you enter the park you will be astonished by its size and beauty. Balboa Park is the largest urban park in the nation and is renowned for its stylish buildings and lush landscapes.  Glide past the world's largest outdoor pipe organ. Weave through the forest of trees along the park's vast network of paths and navigate past the San Diego Zoo. Cruise down El Prado and past the park's stunning Spanish Renaissance style buildings, styled to resemble the ornamented Spanish churches in Mexico. Experience a slice of authentic Italian culture as you navigate through Little Italy on your return voyage. Our Downtown Gaslamp Waterfront Tour is approximately 2 hours (including safety instructions and hands on training) and covers roughly 6 miles round trip. This tour takes you through the heart of downtown San Diego’s architectural wonders, distinct districts, and alongside the eclectic Embarcadero Waterfront. You’ll glide along cobblestone pathways and soak up views of popular sculptures, as well learn much about the city’s history. Our friendly and knowledgeable tour guides will let you in on all the city’s secrets from yesterday and today. Trevor Stonehouse - A southern California native, Trevor is a fun and energetic tour guide. Don't let his laid back style fool you - he will keep you amazed by the unique history and fun sights of San Diego as you tour around on a Segway. Trevor's favorite views are of the white sandy beaches and San Diego Bay, especially when it's full of sail boats. He’s been with San Diego Segway Tours’ parent company Wheel Fun Rentals for many years having previously worked at the corporate office and rental locations in San Francisco as well as Ventura. With Trevor as your tour guide, you can rest assured you'll have a good time.

 


 
 

Christian Page - Originally from Portsmouth Virginia, Christian resides on Coronado Island in San Diego. He greatly enjoys giving tours in the city he now calls home. As an active person who plays football and exercises regularly, Segway was a natural fit for Christian.  While he prides himself in having a laid back attitude, we can attest to his excitement and attention to detail when it comes to being a Segway Tour Guide.   Nick Russell - Colorful San Diego Guide, Nick Russell is right at home leading tours through his native city, and just as comfortable on a Segway. Football and softball are two passions of this sports fan; he was surprised and pleased to meet former Chicago Bears coach, Mike Ditka on a tour. Nick recommends that visitors explore Coronado Island and see Petco Park, home of the Padres.
